Each programs requires a couple things from you before you can sign on to them. You have to be 18 years old or older. You will need a CPR and AED certification. You also need to have a high school diplomas or a GED.
Once you have those, you’re free to apply to a program of your choice. Don’t just pick the first one you search, really dive deep into everything they offer, the classes, and the prices.
Where to get experience
Before you can get people to hire you and pay you, you have to have some credibility first. People aren’t going to hire you if you haven’t had any past clients before—even if you’re certified.You need real results.
The best way to get experience is to offer free classes.
You can offer to become someone’s personal trainer for one to three times, and then they’ll decide after if they want to hire you. (And because you’re a good trainer, they will.)
Free private training classes will get people to want to hire you because everyone likes free things. It’s like a free trial—only this time because your clients are feeling good about themselves, they won’t cancel.
You’ll have a good amount of clients until next thing you know you don’t have to do these free trials, and word of mouth is good enough to get you more.
You can advertise on social media by becoming an expert on Instagram and/or Facebook, by building a website, or by putting up flyers around your area that you’ll be offering a free class at the park.
If you do that last one, you’ll have a chance of more people hiring you because more than one person can show up to that class.
